FORMULADO DE UNA MEZCLA DE EXTRACTOS DE LAS ALGAS PARDAS ASCOPHYLLUM NODOSUM Y MACROCYSTIS PYRIFERA PARA SU USO COMO INGREDIENTE BIOACTIVO EN LA ELABORACIÓN DE COSMETICOS Y MÉTODO DE ELABORACIÓN.

The present disclosure is related to a formulation from a mixture of extracts from the ascophyllum nodosum and macrocystis pyrifera brown algae for use as a bioactive ingredient in the elaboration of cosmetics. Said formulation is a mixture of polymers enriched with the photoprotective compounds of the Macrocystis pyrifera and the antioxidants of the Ascophyllum nodosum; being in itself an akin powder, both gels and emulsions, creams or masks, in such a way that the compounds derived from the extracts, are made bioavailable by enriching the cosmetics. This is because said formulation has a high antioxidant activity, avoiding the oxidative stress caused by the ultraviolet radiation coming from the sun and from the tanning chambers; in addition, said formulation contains sulfated polysaccharides with antitumor, anti-metastatic and apoptosis-inducing action in neoplastic cells; avoiding, the occurrence of skin cancer and melanomas. At the same time, said invention, serves for people with skin problems such as skin pigmentation, cellulitis, sunlight sensitive skin, acne, as well as for the skin care of diabetic people, due to the water retention capacity of the alginates present in the algae.
